Need to change fuel injector #1

Is there any thing special that I need or need to do to change a fuel injector. And is this a simple procedure to do.

It's not hard, but time consuming. You'll have to remove the upper intake, which means you will be draining the coolant, removing the coil pack bracket, unbolting several brackets for the alternator, taking off the EGR, etc. None of it's hard, but a Haynes manual will definitely be handy.

Once you get the upper intake manifold off, you'll have easy access to the rails. There are little wire clips holding the wires to the injectors. Push up on the bottom of the clip and that will release the holding mechanism. Don't unhook the fuel lines going to the rail, just undo the 2 bolts holding the rail down and flip the whole assembly over. From there you can easily relieve the fuel system pressure in to a suitable container and then replace the injector.
