Introduction from myself...

Hey guys and gals I just wanted to say Hi and that my name is Gene and I will be a proud owner of a new 02 Xterra..I'm gonna be trading in my 2000 Sentra for it...But I am still deciding whether or not I should get a Super Charged one or not....My intentions are to do some mild off-roading and alot of towing in the summer months around here(Rhode Island area)(also only a Sea-Doo PWC) also needed for the heavy snow times in my area....So could anyone please tell me if there are any advantages or diss-advantages to having a SC model?....

TIA

You have to use Premium Gas.

The SC only gives you 30hp over the 2003 normally aspirated engine.

You can only feel the SC in the higher RPM range (reported by Evergreen who's driven about 3-4 SC's at Nissan and has a 2001).

It costs more money.

But, it might be helpful with your towing duties. If you tow a lot, get the Automatic.

Welcome to the forum.

but towing a little jetski thing isn't going to tax the normal engine much at all. it were a full size boat, that would be a different story i think.

I was figuring that about the Jet-ski cause right now me and the misses have (yeah I know,It was her decision) a Isuzu Amigo and the lease is up and I really don't wanna throw a hitch on either of my older sentra's so this is why I'm opting for the 4X4 Xterra.......But I was also figuring that I might just get a non-SC'd......cause gas prices are extremely high. But I'll surely let you guys know what I've decided to get as far as one.....
