3.4 engine swap for 83 S-10 (2.8), 4 speed
I have an 83 S-10 Blazer 4X4 with a dead 2.8. I have located a 3.4. I understand that I can use the 3.4, but I have to use my existing belt system and intake, add an electric fuel pump and add a hydraulic clutch.
My question is how difficult is it to add the hydraulic clutch? Do I just get one off the 93-95 camaro and use the Camaro bell housing as well. and just find space under the hood next to the brake booster to mount the clutch master cylinder, drill a hole through the firewall for the pushrod, then install the line to it? I really would like to go this way instead of installing another 2.8...they really suck!!! Kenneth |
