lifter tick gone?

i had a pretty mild lifter tick, it wouldn't be ticking, then it would be incredibly loud, then it would be just quiet ticking. well once it started getting cold out the tick has went away. This is interesting because everyone says as it gets cold out the tick gets worse. Well mine has gone completely away. Also, my oil gauge is reading almost all the way to the bottom and this is interesting to because everyone says that the lower your oil level is the louder the tick is. But the thing is i just got my oil chaged about 600 miles ago. i dont think my gauge is broken either because right after i got it changed it was a little bit over the middle mark. so back to my lifter tick. It has been very cold (snow) and my oil gauge says i dont have much oil but yet i have no lifter tick anymore. hmmm

Re: lifter tick gone?

That gauge is oil pressure...not oil level...

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
