Every Car was out tonight!
idk if people were just trying to get one last street race in before the snow starts, but tonight i saw almost every damn car on the road. Their were WS6, G35, Corvettes, Lots of camaros and stangs, Neon R/T, Contour SVT, just tons of fast cars, and they were all racing!! It was like racing took over the streets tonight. Every stop light their were tires squealing and races going. I even saw a Ford Explorer racing a Contour SVT. BUt onto my races cause of course i had to cruise around for 30 mins or so and find a few of my own.
First race, i stop for a yellow and to my left pulls this nice looking trans am WS6. So naturally i get all kiddy in the pants, light turns green and we both hit it. Till about 60 MPH he pulls steadily on me to about 1 1/2- 2 car lengths, and which point i halt his pull. By 80 MPH we both shut down. I got spanked pretty good. But it was cool, i talked to the guy for a few while driving, he asked me to pull over and see what i had, i popped the hood and he was just kinda smirking and shaking his head at the sight of it. He said he was pretty shocked that i hung with him at all. He was one of those "pro" street racers, who race for money. He said he was on his way to Yipsilanti Michigan (Im in Dearborn, Michigan) to race a Plymouth Laser that was supposed to be a 10 second 1/4 mile car. He said he was about 10 seconds on the bottle, race was for 250 bucks. And later he had another race for like 125 with a Z28. He asked if i wanted to go watch, but thats like a hour and half drive, so i said my peace and he left. I also got to play around with a Infinity G35. We just fooled around from rolls nothing from a dig, which kinda hurts me cause thats actually where i do my best from. From the rolls though i think it was a little faster, not much though. All in all, was pretty fun, saw alot of cool cars and had a few cool races myself. |

The G35s run 14s, but the coupe is low 14s.
How come you only ran a 14.7 but 13 second cars can barely beat you?

I know, I was wondering because it wasn't the first time. Maybe his car can do better in the 1/4 than 14.7

Re: Every Car was out tonight!
err everyone is always way to hung up on 1/4 mile times, if the race isnt a 1/4 mile, then you shouldnt bring up 1/4 mile times. Yes i know, they are a good indicator of car speed, but 1/4 mile is more of an endurance race, the street races i do are more of a sprint race. As for being in michigan, where abouts? Im gonna be with my GF till around 10PM, after that my night is open. I live around Southfield freeway. If u wanna stop by or race, ill PM you my cell number.

Livonia, sure we can race. I always take I94E to M14 to I96 and then take the exit. I don't know where southfield freeway is though. I'm coming from Chicago so I won't be there until probably 2 am. We can always race on Saturday.

Re: Every Car was out tonight!
well i work saturday from like 3 PM to 12:30 AM, so if its sometime in their. Also i forgot to mention, last night was a cold night in michigan, went down to the low 30's. I was probabily making a few more PSI of boost than normal. Ive talked to other people with the same car and blower as me, and they said they have seen up to 8 PSI on a cold night.

I'll be in the area all weekend. But are you anywhere close to 6 mile and let's say Farmington? I'm not saying to race there because that area is full of cops, I'm just trying to get an idea how far away that is.
