Pull the relay. Should be in the underhood fuse panel. There is also a fuse you can pull to shut 'em off.
Hope this helps. |

Re: 2001 2500 HD Daytime running lights
cycle the over ride int. light switch button on-off about 4-5 times...this will turn dtrl off...but you have to do this each key cycle...alot easier-quicker than pulling fuses

Re: 2001 2500 HD Daytime running lights
forget all that crap, slightly depress the emergency brake pedal. that will disengage it. as long as you dont push it down real far it wont engage the brakes.

Re: 2001 2500 HD Daytime running lights
thats a good choice until you have to start replacing parking brake shoes & rear rotors because
you left parking brake engaged too far....the parking brk is about the only thing on these trucks i have a problem with....i don't even use mine anymore...unless its a serious hill and i have my trailer. the int light switch is a much better choice...that's what it's there for |

Re: 2001 2500 HD Daytime running lights
For my 1998 k1500 I dissconected the wire harness that plugs into the relay that is located under the dash just to the right of the gas pedal. its a difficult task, I had to bend the bracket to get my fat hands in there. the relay is very large. because it runs very hot, it is air cooled and can be identified by its cooling fins. I'm not sure if this information is any good since there was several changed between the 98 and 99 and up versions but any little bit if info helps..FG
