help....survey...urgent and important
I'm an uni student and i'm currently doing a research on remote control car chasis.
Please help me with this as the due date is pretty near(a week's time, stupid lect)........Well this is what i would like to hear from all of you here. When purchasing a chasis, what's the requirement that you all set? A have a few examples here which are weight, price, corrosion resistant, easy to install, non-flammable materials, paint, material used. These are what i could think of, of course if there're other requirements, please feel free to write it down. Also please rank them from the most important to lease important, and state which is a must and which is not. Also I've checked from several websites that there are different materials used in constructing the chasis, among are T6 aluminium, 6061 aluminium, 7075 aluminium (are these all the same?), graphite and carbon fiber. What are the differences? In conjunction to what you've listed down for the requirements. Thank you so much for the help, really need all the help i could get. T6 Aluminum, 6060 (6061 is a tad bit different) and 7075 are all different aluminum alloys. 6060 is the most commonly used in CNC mills. It is a billet aluminum, thus it is very strong, yet light weight. If you need me to explain the make up of them I will.
Graphite and Carbon fiber are definately similar, and a few RC companies are now using the more durable Carbon Kevlar.

7075 Aluminum is also a billet. 7075 is a zinc alloy which is hazordous to human health when welding. Fiberglass is light, inexpensive and durable with layers. Carbon Fiber is lighter and more durable, yet much more expensive. The bi-direction carbon fiber is the most durable carbon fiber composite but is very expensive. Uni-direction carbon fiber consists of carbon and rayon instead of pure carbon. Carbon Kevlar is the most durable and most expensive. Its usually a dark gold-yellow and black hue, instead of the dark gunmetal like carbon fiber has. Theres the basic piece of it.
