Question No Cruise Control when running Wipers

I have noticed when I am in cruise control, and I start the windshield wipers, the cruise control drops out and I cant turn it back on. If I turn off the wipers, I can start cruise again. Is this a safety feature, or maybe a switch going bad? Sometimes I can cruise when running the wipers on pulse, but if I increase the pulse rate, the cruise drops out. '87 Lesabre. Anyone had this problem?

Re: No Cruise Control when running Wipers

The switch is either going bad, or the wires leading up the steering column have shorted out. Make sure the fuse is the correct one.
