Durability of Silicone
Just wanted to have a little fun adding some color under the hood. What kind of durability do colored silicone vacuum hoses posses vs. the stock rubber hoses. Also, can they be used in place of other hoses that aren't just air vacuum tubes (Coolant hoses, etc.)? Where can i find these hoses online and what companies make them? Thanks for your help.

Don't fix what's not broken.

---------- Here is the vacuum hoses your were talking about: http://www.prostreetonline.com/pso/p...%20Hose%20Kits AEM has silicone connector hoses: http://www.racerwheel.com/engine-air-filter-aem.html There are radiator hoses as well. Usually they have ads in magazines.. Just take a look in there. Other than that, google is a valuable tool. Use it.

Oh fine. But I still think it's money that's better used on something else.

You mean smooth silicone hoses won't free up more airflow and find another 10 HP!?
j/k Anyways, it's just i live where the only car shops are advance auto parts and autozone and while i'm working to earn money for more upgrades (pulleys are on their way!), i get bored and just really need to do something to my car. Looks are usually cheapest and it's all i can get in town. Twenty bucks isn't that much for a one time purchase and its very satisfying working on my car! I do understand why you call it a waste though, thanks for the replies.
