brake light bracket

hi there fellow boarders, I have a brake light problem.

the switch and wiring were tested and found to conduct. The problem is the switch itself moves freely.

My question is:

am I missing a bracket or did something break off the switch? Ford doesnt appear to sell a bracket and doesnt know if the switch comes with one.

thanx very much

I was able to fix my problem by replacing the switch. Note to anyone with brake light problems, the switch is often the problem if the bulbs are ok.

part # SW-2239E9ZZ-13480-A

The old one had a problem with the black plastic connecting prong. It was slightly loose or out of spec which affected the electrical connection when the brakes were applied. It wasn't getting good contact.
