1999 radio into 1997?
Does anyone know if a stock cd player from a 99 Altima will go into a 97? Looking at the deck, it seems like it will fit and the harnesses are the same. Thanks.

Go to ebay they have all kinds of radios for sale, or call around at junk yards and see whats available.

I am actually not looking for one...I just need to know whether or not a deck from a 1999 Altima will fit into a 1997 Altima. So if anyone knows then that would be great. I called the dealership and they could not help me at all.

Re: 1999 radio into 1997?
it depends on the radio. If your Alti its like my wifes it came with the 2 1/4 din CD/Cassette radio. If this is the case all you have to do might be just swap the mounting brackets from your old to the new radio, and possibly the connectors to the radio but I doubt it. For wiring help, and ID go to www.streetdreams.com they have the schematics you need to finish the transplant successfully. So your answer is yes. If you can place a Mazda radio into an Accord, then your task should be no problem. Just make sure that you dearm the Airbag system before doing the swap because one of the main sensors for the ABAS system its right behind, and slightly below the radio.
