Trunk Release on 98 Camry
I have a 98 Camry that I am unable to unlock the trunk from inside the car with the lever by the drivers side. This has been a gradual problem that has occured over time. It started out that I would have to pull the lever up a little higher each time, indicating "play" in the cable or someting. Now it is at a point where I can pull it all of the way up withouth the trunk opening. Is there an adjustment to this? If so, where is it located and how do I get to it?
thanks for any and all help! Dan M. |

Re: Trunk Release on 98 Camry
The lever may have came loose from the floorboard and may need to be moved forward and tightened down a bit. Also, you can correct slack in the cable from either the lever or the trunk lock mechanism.
