Question

used 83 to 85 porsche 944

I need your help! I am in the market to buy a used 83 to 86 944 for under $7000. I own a 1990 bmw 525i with 230k miles and its very reliable. Are 944's also that reliable? I saw a 944 (year 1984) with 160k miles for 4500 bucks. how reliable are these 4 bangers?
