Talking

Opel Corsa, Vauxhal Corsa, Holden Barina? Don't know why they are called such a sissy name in Australia, but that didn't stop me from buying one! Mine is a 2002 SRI. The 1.8 litre (92kw) really hammers! I put a K&N Pod filter and ditched the exhaust and fitted a straight through Stainless barrell type muffler and now it goes even harder! Great daily driver.

Hmm... There should be a Vauxhall Nova entry in the list of models in the Opel Forum. Or maybe there should be a Vauxhall entry in the list of manufacturers, that actually links to the Opel forum.

I think more people should know that the Corsa was called Nova in the UK until they made it round and silly looking. The old cereal box on wheels approach to making cars just doesn't get used any more..

The Nova is probably THE most popular car for modifying in the UK 'cos of its low costs.. I think there are only 3 UNmodified Nova's left in England now (Wales has 7, so I'm told).

What's up Daimo B...
I was checking out your site ("http://diamob.fotki.com") and I was really impressed with the cars shown. I didn't realize there was such a scene overseas. Here in the states, there just aren't cars like these which is a real dissapointment because the customize very well. Can you post any specs on these cars like hp, etc. or maybe post a link.
Thanks,
CL

Luton

I live in Luton, where Vauxhalls were (Now only Vans) made. Everyone in luton Drives a vauxhall, apart from the many asian people who drive Toyota's and nissans. Every boy of 15-16-17 owns a nova or corsa to tune up! Living in luton is Vauxhall paradise.

I own a 1985 Corsa A 1.3GT.
Or Nova SR if it was a Vauxhal.
Heīs fully stock and kept that way.
Only done some changes to improve security and stability.
Better springs (-30mm Ventura), Bilstein gas shock absorvers, Tarox grooved disks, EBC pads, OMP front anti-roll bar.
Engine is now 150k miles and has never been opened.
Only very well kept.
Some tried to stole it from me, and damaged door locks and paint...
Wounīt sell it.
Great car this was when released...Only needed some improvements in suspension, braking and a carb. change... Pieburg 2E3 isnīt good in performance nor in fuel economy...
