New pics of my sol
Alright here's the new pics. Things that have changed.. well.. I umm got a hood. And hood pins to hold the bitch down. Already made a few runs to Atlanta and back, and the thing is solid. If you remember a few weeks ago, I was whining about rust on the weld points of my muffler. Well I took it back and they did duals. I know, I know.. riceriffic, but I like them. No dual mufflers, either. I hate the way that looks. So they did them as two pipes. And it's actually not like dirtbike loud, either. Sounds pretty good IMHO. Hmm what else. I got bored and painted some of the interior pieces white. They look ok at best. Can't wait to do wraps instead. I also did red needles. Whee. Only thing left to do is put in the clutch that has been in my trunk forever. But now I have time so I should be able to meet up with either Kelly or Mike and have them do it. Let me know what you think.

Nicely done. I had considered painting the grey trim inside mine as well, but I'd prefer to match the black interior or my outside color. What did you use to paint the grey vinyl and how'd you do it?
The hood looks good too. For me personally, I'm sticking with one pipe for the exhaust. To each their own. Looks good though -- not overdone. And finally, what'd you do to make your needles red? Was thinking of something similar. And since I will probably be changing my gauge cluster bulbs soon, I could do that while I'm in there.

red needles are a high tech process.. I used a lot of materials and other high tech things...
ok I used a red sharpie. :-D Still have it if you wanna meet up sometime and I can show you how to do it. The interior looked hot for a red hot minute, but now it's dirty, and I'm like "UGH! Shoot me in the skull!". Can't wait to wrap it. I just pulled the panels and sanded them lightly, primed them, then did two million coats of white spray paint (I didn't use the vinyl stuff.. mistake number one). If you wanna go all black on the interior, which is what I'm probably gonna do eventually, but with some other touched like cf, etc, first go to a junkyard and find a 96/97 sol. They have a lot of black interior pieces (handles, pillars, etc) |

ROFL, red sharpie... that's the best.
Might give that a go though and see how it works for me. As for the interior, I had considered just getting interior parts from a '96-'97 Del Sol and putting those in to match the black everywhere. I thought they changed the interior design slighty though (aside from color) in the last two years? No? And white will get you every time with dirt. Another reason I want to change out the grey with the black on my Del Sol on the inside. Dirt still shows up on the grey and the grey doesn't really go well with much else on the car. It'll have to wait until I find another job though and have money again. Being laid off sucks. I wanted to do the JDM sunvisor conversion too.

and oh yeah. The reason you can't get that car sold is cause you're asking too much for it. You're not gonna be able to get much more than 9 for it... show winner or not.

i've always had a thing for that i'd like to say that the Sol the other guy is trying to sell....eh im not a in favor of it. Im sorry but the hood is pretty crappy looking. and im not digging the euro tailights.but back to the red sol. i like the hood and the whites pretty cool, just like you said though, gets dirty pretty easy. good luck on it ill have to get out my sharpie maybe, if i feel up to it
