Just bought a 97 EK4. Want to build a B16 frank. Need help.
Hi Everyone. I just bought an EK. I've only heard about the frankenstien motors recently and I'm really intrested in building one. Any info would be a great help. TNX.

search crvtec or lsvtec depending on if you want 1.8 or 2.0

the true frankenstein is the cr-vtec cuz its bigger 2.0L, but like he said search the forums, the topic has been discussed 1000's of times.

both setups are Frankenstein because you have to use pieces of different engines to make it....so, maybe we could call them the Little Frankie (LSVTEC) and Mr Frankestein (CRVTEC)...hehe.
My advice is if your planning to make that setup, get someone that build that for you and he must have A LOOOOOOT of experience, otherwise DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!, believe me I'm saving you a serious headache. |

ok, it isnt that hard, have you ever seen how oit is built, the plugging of the old supply is a sinch, running the oil lines is a piece of cake, bolting the head on isnt hard at all, the only thing you need a machinist to do is drill the dowel holes larger, or if youve used a drill press many times you could do it yourself, and then theres some woiring and stuff, but basically, look at a couple sites, have tools and dso it, im siure if you had a friend with a gsr or si or some other car with a B series vtec it would help so you could look at wiring and such.
