2000 geo metro vehicle speed sensor

Hey everyone I have a 2000 1.3 automatic geo hatchback with 160k miles on it. I have diagnosed my problem as a vehicle speed sensor...I think. I hooked up a computer and drove around finding that when the car has problems shifting it is registering 0mph as the speed. When the speed on the computer matches on the speedometer all is well and it shifts like a dream.

The real issue is finding such a simple part to really know. If I am not mistaken it is the sensor right on top of the transmission that is removed with one screw head bolt. The part number engraved on mine is 0D07. I have called around to all the junkyards in my state and nobody has a 2000 metro. Any suggestions on what I can do will be greatly appreciated.

There is one on eBay

Also, I don't know if the issue when you call junk yards has to do there not being a 2000 Geo Metro. In 2000 they were Chevy Metros. The Geo name went away in 96 or something.
