Hvac vacuum line--2000 regal ls/digital climate control

Located the dreaded broken plastic vacuum line that supplies vacuum to operate airflow direction to my A/C. It broke off below the coupling which is located just below the main fuse box. I cannot find the other broken end, so as I can connect a hose in between both broken ends. I've read that it leads back behind the battery thru a main harness and then back thru the firewall. I cannot find the other end or locate which harness it runs back into. A pic or a detailed description would be a great help. Thank you.

Unfortunately, I'm not having any success in locating the other end of the broken HVAC vacuum line. I removed the battery and tray it lays on, also disconnected the RH headlight. Checked and looked within any harnesses within the general area of the battery...still unable to locate. In addition I looked for the reservoir on front left wheel. But to be honest...I really am unfamiliar of what that reservoir looks like. A pic of the reservoir would be helpful so as I can make that the starting point and backtrack to the open end of the vacuum line. Thank You!

Its behind the plastic inner left front wheel lining- turn steering wheel all the way to the right and go under front and take liner loose directly in front of wheel. This will expose the reservoir...and the hose dangling from it..

Re: Hvac vacuum line--2000 regal ls/digital climate control

An old trick is to disconnect the vac line from the HVAC controller, and if you are a smoker, blow smoke through the line, and look for smoke emanating from the disconnect....if you don't smoke and have access to an air line, blow air through it and listen for the disconnect.....
