Re: Badly broken coil and its stuck!!!
As far as I can tell you need to pull/push the electrode inside the boot and then use the needle nose pliers to remove the rest.
Good luck and let us know what will happen.

Re: Badly broken coil and its stuck!!!
Well... It's out!!!
![]() Talk about a battle!!! Pulled off the intake and then the valve cover to get a better look at the sleeve... Had a neighbour come over who is a mechanic or that would've happened!! ![]() Used some heat and was able to break apart the coil and get a lot out. The metal was completely corroded/rusted to the sleeve all the way down to the plug. I folded over a lot of the metal away from the sides and then put a screw through it all. Filled it with "Moovit" penetration oil and left it over night. Got a pair of vice grips on the screw and then pried it with a hammer and it pulled free... The rubber stayed attached to the plug but that only took a piece of hanger bent with a hook to get it out. Hope this helps someone in the future!! But I also hope no one ever has this issue!!! Here's a couple pictures... ![]() ![]() ![]() |
