lucerne back doors won't open
My Dad's lucerne back doors won't open from the inside or the outside, He thinks it may be the child safety mechanism. They won't open manually or with the key fob. Help!

Re: lucerne back doors won't open
Can you unlock the door (manually) from the inside? The child locks only prevent opening from inside, could be the solenoids are stuck, can you hear them click?

Re: lucerne back doors won't open
Most likely the lock mechanisms or solenoids dont move far enough to unlock the doors, try racing the engine some to get battery voltage up, then try it, if not the trims will have to come to do this from inside the doors.

Re: lucerne back doors won't open
I have the same problem with my Lucerne, but it is impossible to remove the trims with the doors closed. (at least for me) I have to take mine to the dealer who advised that there will probably be some trim damage. Trims were a piece of cake taking them off the rust frozen lock of my daughters Grand Am, but there is no easy way on the Lucerne. This problem with the rear door locks seem to be fairly common on the Lucerne for one rear door, but unusual for both doors at once.
