1/24 Belkits Ford Fiesta S2000 H. Solberg

Hi guys,
Another build finished this week. I've been doing a dual build together with the Honda RS1000. This is the Henning Solberg version that drove the 2011 Monte Carlo Rally. Decals are from Renaissance. It's a pretty good kit, but it has some fitting issues. The rollcage doesn't fit and need some modifications. The windows don't fit inside. It's a diecast system and it's not good. I cut the windows in 6 pieces and had to modify them to fit well. I also sanded and polished the rear window, because it was not seethru. For paint i used ZP Expert Orange and Motip colors(black & white) for the interior and window trimmings. The metallic colors where Tamiya Acrylics. I used some aftermarket antennas and PE bolts to make the model more realistic. I'm pretty happy with the result although there is always room for improvment. Here are some pics:

Best regards,
Lesley

A beautiful model and clean build. You managed to avoid the toy-like look for white rims. But you should be more decent on the panellines, less dark and less thick.

Thanks for the advice. I know they are a bit thick in some places. I tried something new for the panellines. I used revell aqua semi gloss black instead of enamel paint. It works great, but still have to learn how to work with it.

Best regards,
Lesley

Great build Lesley! Very clean build and shine. Orange just happens to be my favorite color as well.
