1994 GMC Sierra Problem Cold Starting
I have a 1994 GMC sierra, And it doesn't seem to want to start Cold, i can keep pumping the Gas until it starts up, and then it will start after that just fine, since the engine is warm. I just put in a New AIC, thinking that might help but nope. I checked the Spark Plugs and there okay. The Truck was sitting for 2 years, and had almost 3/4 tank of bad gas in it, so it i filled up the rest of the tank with some higher Octane Gas, Does someone know what i should do?

Re: 1994 GMC Sierra Problem Cold Starting
See if the Engine Coolant Temp sensor is bad. Unplug it before you try to start it cold. If it starts good, it is probably bad.
You should have drained all the old fuel. Did you replace the fuel filter? //2000CAYukon |

Thanks i'll check the temp sensor.
I didn't have anywhere to put the gas, and i don't know the best way on how to get it out either. And yes i just changed the fuel Filter |

sounds much like the coolant temperature sensor on the top side of the engine as I have had the same problem on my 95 gmc

Re: 1994 GMC Sierra Problem Cold Starting
Symptom of a cold hard start could be a bad MAF, or MAP sensor!
