04 thermostat Housing leaking
I have an o4 with a 2.7 lt engine. There is a leak in the upper part of the thermostat housing. What is the procedure to replace this housing?
Thanks |

Re: 04 thermostat Housing leaking
simple....drain coolant, removed upper intake manifold bolts I think 6 10mm bolts on top, remove the air filter and housing near the throttle body there will also be a bolt with a bracket remove or loosen. with a bungee cord hold the intake up on the front of the engine side.. you can leave all the sensors, throttle etcc on the intake. you just need to lift the intake slightly to access the 1 bolt for the housing the rest of the bolts are easily accessible...should take about 30 minutes.....
