Needle bearing in oil pan

Ok I have had a low oil pressure problem for a while in my 95 3800 transport. I started it the other day and it started knocking I still had oil pressure though so I decided today to pull it down and replace bearings. The main and rod bearings showed what wear I would expect for 200,000 miles the problem is I found needle bearing in the oil pan and I'm not sure where they came from. Anybody got any ideas I assume the cam and balance shaft are babbit and the roller lifters are solid rollers I pulled a valve coverto see if they could be rocker bearings but they are not as wide as what I found

Thaks for your help

Greg

Re: Needle bearing in oil pan

Well I found the source of the needle bearings. #1 intake lifter had the roller sieze then the cam lobe wore the roller away until the needles dropped out of it. now I'm looking for a cam too. anybody close to Gray, TN got one.

JRS3800, what is the original type? solid or roller ?

Re: Needle bearing in oil pan

TPI is Tuned Port Injection..

and the lifter is a Hydraulic Roller Lifter... I have pretty much never seen this happen to a GM roller lifter or a roller lifter in general..
