Ferrari 612 Stradale

Finally finished this project which began in 2005.

As you can deduct from my progress thread some changes were made along the way.

I chose to make it a curbside, 6 speed stick, changed the wheels to Aoshima 20" Traffic Star RTM's painted Testors Magnesium metalizer. Body color is Pontiac Lucerne Blue rather than the Azzurro California.I also reshaped the side windows. The chassis is painted Tamiya TS Gunmetal.

The seats and mirrors are from 599. I put a small red, white and green Italian stripe on each mirror.

The brakes are F430 duplicates.

The body was finished off with MSM Creation and Crazy Modeler emblems.

The kit itself is pretty shoddy...lot of warpage and the chassis is very poorly designed and engineered. The body needed a lot of block sanding to get rid of the waves.

Finally someone that actually paints their wheels. I think the wheels suit the car well. Overall it looks like a beauty. I really like the vents on the side.

Nice outside pics too!!

They should have made it!
Looks great.

The only thing that I don't really go for are the emblems on the rear deck but that's a small niggle on a really great design you have come up with

Thanks all!

Yes, I don't know why the axle is so off center.

Not a fan of the 612 Scaglietti but your model looks stunning, especially with a set of big rims!

That is amazing, especially considering the problems you stated. I can only hope to achieve a shine like that some day
