Re: Recap of the American F1 fleet

Could this F1 Road Car as described potentially go for over 4 Million US Dollars considering that it only has 500KM on the odometer? If that number is real, that is.

Re: Recap of the American F1 fleet

I never trust ClassicDriver/CarClassic adverts to be honest, they usually tend to feature pictures of the car they're supposed to be selling but not the actual one they have (or most of the time nothing at all).

There's probably nothing to it.

Re: Recap of the American F1 fleet

Any ideas of what '95 car left the factory in paint that a third party might call "Champagne"?

Never had that experience with the rarer cars. Only with the run of the mill cars...

Re: Recap of the American F1 fleet

Could it be 62?

The company offering it is called Euro Classics.
According to their website they've dealt with F1's a few times:
1994 McLaren F1 S/N 013
1995 McLaren F1 S/N 028 (sold 2 times)
1997 McLaren F1 S/N 063

http://www.euro-classics.com/cars-sold.htm

This mr. Gizzi doesn't seem like the type to make fake advertisements.. or does he?

Where are 63 and 13 now? Wasn't 63 at SPS?

Ignore the American flag - that car is not in the USA. That is an ad brokering the Brazilian Brown car in Japan based on my knowledge. Last I heard the asking price was $3.2M for it. Funny they call the color Champagne as that would not be something I would want to drink.

Also, the photo above is definitely #062.

#013 might be coming to the USA - still trying to verify as its just a guess at this point. When #063 left Hong Kong, reports were that it went back to Japan. I'm not certain if it stayed there or where it may have gone since.

I realize that, but the pictures included with the ad aren't of the car they are offering.

Other than their example photos, everything else about the ad matches up with what I know of that car - still with original owner, still has barely more than delivery mileage, and that its for sale now.

basman - this is it:

Maybe in bright sunlight like with this second photo you could call it 'Champagne', but I think it's just a way of advertising the car without using the word 'Brown'.

Even describing the interior as 'Tobacco' is a fair description of this car:

Re: Recap of the American F1 fleet

Champagne colour isn't really correct, by I can understand why they didn't refer to it as brown (if this really is the car they're talking about), because that wouldn't do the colour justice. In those photo's it looks like a 'sophisticated' car.

thanks for posting the pics

Re: Recap of the American F1 fleet

It's pretty beautiful really, very classy colour combination.

Wasn't this supposed to be the car Iding Power were gonna do the engine swap with?

Re: Recap of the American F1 fleet

It was the F1 that was often seen in their garage.

If you are confused about what happened here - I split these posts off into a separate thread since the selling broker's location doesn't make the car part of the American fleet. Hopefully someone over here will buy it. This is one that I'd love to see before it gets resprayed.
