2002 Blazer - Thinking about buying

I am thinking about buying a 2002 Blazer. Loaded, leather, 30K mi. and dealer wants $14,000. Any comments or things to look for would be appreciated.

Just a comment (you did ask, didn't you?)
Around here (Wi) one particular dealer is selling Executive Trailblazers (which really means Avis,Hertz,Enterprise, etc returns) for $14,995.00.
For the extra $1000.00 , that's the way I would go. These are usually well optioned/loaded vehicles, a lot of the with GPSs.

This is my personal opinion.
I will never buy a used vehicle (1 to 4 years old) from a dealer for the simple reason that the majority of what they sell are either lease returns (2-4 years old), or rental returns (1-2 years old).
The only good thing about these "Executive Driven" (that's how they're listed in ads here) cars is that they have a good price point attached to them, and they carry a good portion of the warranty.
As the dealers state, "Executive Driven" is either of the above I pointed to. Again, a major reason for my statement that I TRUST all Dealers, Lawyers, Politicians, etc ,NOT.

Edit: Let me throw in here that I wouldn't buy the used car, but if I WAS the person looking at buying the used car, the newer rental/lease car would be the way I would go

Re: 2002 Blazer - Thinking about buying

I bought the 02 Blazer. Pretty happy overall I guess. First major repair out of warranty was ball joints but after reading on here that was no surprise. Other problems repaired under warranty were bad evap solenoid, oil cooler leak (again no suprise), oil leak from front pinion seal.

I have had s-10 and blazers for the last 11 years. things that you can expect to go on them are the fuel pump, the gas gauge will start acting up first. The radiator will start leaking from the top near the oil cooler line. Not really to many problems overall I guess mine is over 205 k now and that is all I had to do besides tires and such parts that ware out.
