transmission lagging

My wife has an 07 Aura when my wife pulls from a stop it feels as if it is taking off in too high of a gear like shifting from first to third. It just bogs. We took it to the dealership yesterday and they said it was the nature of the beast and deal with it which would not be much of a prob until you are coming of a ramp on the interstate or leaving an intersection with wife and small child in car. Any idea

Re: transmission lagging

There is no GM bulletin for reprogramming the TCM that I know of, but there is a GM bulletin about the torque converter stator going bad and causing poor acceleration from a stop. Here is a link to the GM Bulletin. Hopefully this helps!
