Four wheel alignment

I'm thinking about getting a 4 wheel alignment. I replaced both outer tie-rod ends many months ago. I used Moog parts & the revs were way off. Not sure why, I've done TRE on other cars using OEM (not Moog) & they were right on. Is that a common issue with Moog?

I haven't noticed abnormal tire wear but I don't put many miles on it. I just don't like the look of the stance. It seems like the camber is very negative. TRE shouldn't effect camber though right? Toe looks good.

It just seems like the handling is a little off at times on my favorite local high speed turns. They aren't real what I would call flat, with a few compressions & un-weights.

I was really rocking a tight ramp the other day that's banked about as much as ramps get (nicely graded, very smooth) since I could see the light was green on my entry as I went over the interchange. My first time passenger that I was giving a ride home from work & drives an 1980 something Trans Am (like an ol' lady) was even squirming quite a bit. We just barely made the green/yellow. It was friggen solid & fun as hell. LOL. Once we got on our exit he relaxed and asked WTF is this thing?

I suppose I need some better struts for one. It's stock other than GMPP handling kit, poly everywhere & strut tower bar on the rear.

Any way, I haven't taken a car to the shop for anything other than the wife's van for A/C work for years.

What's a decent price for a 4 wheel alignment & how do I know if they have the proper equipment do do it right?

Thanks for any help.

Re: Four wheel alignment

If the car drives nice and straight and there is no uneven tire wear I would leave it alone. If it is not broke don't fix it

Re: Four wheel alignment

Any suspension or steering work usually requires at least a check to see where the specs are, we get 100.00 for a full 4 wheel in my shop.

August, 2009 I got a complete alignment on my 2000 Intrigue. Alignment costs were $50 for front; $41 for the rear. I had replaced all struts, front anti-sway bar, and left tie rod just before the alignment; the shop advised me to do all that stuff first. They also replaced the left inner tie rod (parts / labor ~ $115). I think it was all good work by a good shop.
My Intrigue always drove great; I didn't think it really needed an alignment, but it was out some. Wish I had been kinder to my set of Goodyear Assurance Triple-treads which I spent a lot of money on the year before. What I learned was that even though the tires were wearing wrong, it doesn't always show in the ride. I guess eventually it would have.
Still rides great though, just a bit noisier that it would otherwise have been, and this time I know the tires are wearing properly.
