3.2CL Windshield Wipers Won't Shut Off

I have a 3.2 CL that was starting to have problems with the wipers stopping mid travel when they were on intermittent. Now the wipers only work on slow and fast and won't stop when switched to off. I have to turn off the ignition and then restart the car. They work on "mist" but won't park. The combination switch and the relay check out ok.

Sounds like you have a stripped spline. Remove both wiper arms and run your wipers in all modes, see if it still does the same. After removing your wiper arms you will see the splines. The material used in the shaft (male) is made of a much harder material than the ones used in the arms (female).
