2004 Venture question

I am possibly buying a 2004 Venture. The venture appears to have some damage under the engine comparment. It looks like someone hit a rock or parking curb with it. The..item damanged is what I would call crossmember under the radiator portion to the front of the oil pan is dented on the right side (passenger side). The mechanic selling it says that it would not affect the straight line driving or anything. The van has new tires so I cant see any abnormal wear. He said that he aligned it and everything squared up fine. I drove it and everthing seemed fine. I use to own a 97 silhouette and had no problems at all with it. What else should I look for in the Venture? It has had a 100k service completed, new fuel pump and filter. It has 97k.

Re: 2004 Venture question

I would (if possible) set up a meeting for a second inspection with a mech of your choice to do a close inpection of the van before buying it.

There may be other damage not noticeable right now.
