Super Beetle 1302 (1972)

After a long research, I found the closest kit to the '72 Super Beetle 1302:

The Aoshima Super Beetle 1303S (great quality !)

I already covered the air outtakes on the bonnet and primed the body

I realized that the direction lights on the body are in the wrong place (they are near the doors instead being on the mudguard)... I'll have to scratchbuild them...

Aside from the oval windshield (1303 version) that should be flat (1302 version) and I think I can't modify that, the other big problem is in the dashboard... From this thing

I have to make this thing

Fortunately the 2 versions of the dashboard (left and right drive) are included in this kit, so I can heavily modify that...

any suggestions or ideas??
