Strange electrical problems

What makes power door locks go up and down while you are driving? The doors even locked their self one time. Strangest of all, the electric trunk release will open the trunk lid when the car is parked and not running. Many times the battery will go dead over night and it's a new one. I have noticed that the alternator gauge will show discharge sometimes while driving, however, the alternator is only six months old.

Anyone have an idea what's going on?

Thanks, MEMORIES

Welcome to AF.

It would help to post the year and model Regal.

I can't believe I left out that information. It's a 1992 Regal with a V6 engine. It's a friend's car and I don't know what type of Regal it is. They called me yesterday and said that the car locked the doors by itself in the driveway with the ignition off.

Thanks for any info.

MEMORIES.
