1999 5.7 L chevy truck hard to start if sits too long. and god forbid i short stroke the key. may take days to finally start. fuel pressure 62 psi key on not running, drops about 1 psi a minute. want to check FPR but cant find it. know what it looks like from auto zone parts site. just cant see. then i will do fuel line pinch off test.

Yeah, the fuel pressure regulator is under the intake plenum. I agree is sounds like your fuel pressure regulator. To replace it you will also need a set of upper intake plenum gaskets.
