is it the fuel pump?
a 1992 3.8 fifth ave.. stoped runing, poured some gas in throttle run breifly.. let it sit over night started right up, ran for about 20 min. died.. where do i start checking thing? wheres the fuel filter> and fuel pump. any help thanks..

well i would start with the fuel pump which would be located in your fuel tank cause atleast if you had a partical plugged fuel filter you would still be getting fuel to the throttle body so check with that another way to check if your fuel pump is working is if you put key on do you hear a buzzing noise from the back end?

Would this also be something to check on my 87 new yorker? It starts up every few days and runs for roughly half an hour , after that when I shut the engine off it won't start back up. If I let it sit a few days without trying to start it , it will start up and run for another 30 mins or so. Foul exaust odor also result during the engine running.
