Sound from front right wheel well
I'm getting an unusual grinding sound from the right front wheel well on my 96 F250 (turbo diesel, if it matters). It occurs most prevalently at highway speeds, and only when on a slight turn to left or right. I'm also getting jerky behavior when in reverse.
I stuck my head under the truck but I didn't see any spots that looked like they were rubbing. My guess is the issue has to do with the brakes on that wheel. I haven't had this truck that long and I have no idea how long since they've been checked. Please help diagnose. |

Re: Sound from front right wheel well
you dont say if its a 4x4 but if it is 4x4 you could have a hub stuck in the locked position or a bad u joint, bearings in the front if it is 2 wheel drive then i would suspect bearing they will growl when there bad

Re: Sound from front right wheel well
It isn't a 4x4, and it is rear wheel drive. I will definitely check the bearings out. I'll take a peek at the brakes as long as I'm digging in. Thanks man. I'll post back when I know for sure.
