1997 Olds Bravada

Hi,

I have a 1997 Bravada with 170k miles on it...
I bought it off a friend in November 09, after he bought it in October, 2008... He moved to Arizona and sold it to me...

After getting a new gas tank in May earlier this year, the pump went, and needed to be replaced in October...

As of two weeks ago the awd stopped working, seems to be locked in RWD... Traveling at about 45 and I turn the wheel to the left I noticed a whirring noise coming from the front passenger wheel... CV Boot? And this morning I noticed a gas leak on the fuel line... Not good...

Any ideas on if these are all related, or if they're just three things happening all at once.

Also, I haven't really driven the vehicle too hard.

Thanks!!!

-JS

I live in Maine, and all the problems seemed to coincide with the weather (it went from 70 on the 4th, and two weeks later we have two feet of snow and it's -10)...

Re: 1997 Olds Bravada

Cold weather brings out problems.

Find and fix the fuel leak.
Wheere is it leaking?

On the wheel noise going straigh down the road 30-45 MPH turn the steering wheel just a little to right or left and see if noise changes?
Does that change noise?

Another test on wheel bearing is to feel for any lose play in them and jack up and block up and spin wheels and listen for noise.

Let us know what you find.
