2002 sc2 info needed

So I'm looking at an 02 to buy, but in reading through the posts, I notice a lot of electrical problems with the last few years of the sc model. Do the 02's have know electrical gremlins? Do they run everything through the radio like Pontiac did? Any info would be appreciated.

What electrical gremlins are you referring to? They are actually pretty good; albeit somewhat more electrically complex because 2000-2002 (3rd gen) S-Series have a Body Control Module (BCM). But if I didn't tell you you'd never know it, because it rarely fails or needs to be messed with. They can be finicky if the battery goes bad, but the same can be said about any other newer car.

The only thing I can think of is that the power window & mirror switch goes bad if anything is spilled on it, but that's not really a gremlin IMO.

To answer your radio question, the radio is just a radio...not a door chime like on most other GM cars. There are no fancy gadgets required to install an aftermarket radio.
