Just wondering how hard this would be. Bought my Z-24 about five years ago and never had brights. Always just the regular headlights and the fog lights. Since, the lights have now entirely gone out on me and I think I should rewire the whole front end. Any suggestions or ideas on how hard this might be? How much a shop would charge for this mess?
I know electrical problems = lots of money and/or a rather large headache. |

Re: Entire Headlight (front end) Re-Wire on 2.4L 1996
I've read a few times on different forums about headlight problems on the cavalier.
Seems a problem area is below the battery plate - probably leaking acid eats the wires or something. Should check there first before you get into a whole rewire issue. Also, the switch is a possible culprit - another common theme - nothing wrong with the wiring just that multi-function bugger. Try doing some searches on that. Personally, I've not had any issues with this as yet, so no first hand advice for ya. |

i have a 2005 cavalier and had to do some rewiring on my headlights not to long ago. im sure ur 96 model is setup almost the same. it wasnt too bad actually. i took the front bumper off and it gave me alot more room to work with.
