Re: Got the motor back!

Get a manifold that is flanged for a T3 turbo. There isn't that many options out there for a T3 flange. Or you could run an adapter but I wouldnt go that route.

Re: Got the motor back!

Punishment makes some great products including manifolds. Very good machine work and welds.

Re: Got the motor back!

I just can't believe everyone is paying so much for headers. IMO, as long as it flows just as good and isn't gonna rust apart then I'm happy with it. I got a cheap ebay header and changed the flange on it to what I needed. It was SS and the flow was there, so I figured, why not?... Again though, that's just me. I'm sure not everyone will agree with that.

Re: Got the motor back!

Some of the cheaper ones are more prone to cracking though.

Re: Got the motor back!

Cracking, shitty collector design, cheap welds, tight bends...all good reasons NOT to cheap out on a manifold. (not "header")

I still run a 2g manifold (ported). Upgrades I would consider are an FP manifold, or anything Shearer.

Re: Got the motor back!

+1. I have run cheap manifolds, and everyone of them ended up in the trash can. Do not go that route please.
Cost aside, that DNP manifold looks good and they are known to hold up.
