Why Don't I have spark???????
I have a 1997 Spyder GS with the 2.4l motor.
I started my car a few days ago to warm it up before work and about 2 minutes after it started it just randomly died and now It will not start. It has no spark. Ive replaced the coil, spark plugs, and plug wires. I checked the crank sensor and i'm getting 12v into it and 5v from the signal wire coming out of it so i think that's good. Im stumped. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated guys

Welcome to AF! Please don't bump your posts.
Have you checked you Cam Angle Sensor as well? You replaced the coil and all, but did you check if it was getting proper voltage itself?

I check the cam sensor how the Haynes manual said to, it checked out ok.
I finally got my hands on a code reader today and it said I had a crank a sensor circuit malfunction. The crank sensor had checked out ok when I tested it. I tested it the way the Haynes book told me to. I'm going to try replacing it today to see if that is the problem. Thank you for the replies by the way.

Just wondering if you have solved your problem???
I have had the same problem with my 97 Eclipse 2.4L. I just replaced my spark plugs & spark plug wires days before it came to a stop while driving. I have replaced the fuel pump and my mechanic hooked it up to a code reader which told us it had a malfunction with the crank shaft positioning sensor. When my mechanic went to replace it he found that one of the belts (can't remember which one) had wrapped around the sensor, we replaced the sensor and the belt and still nothing. I have my computer in at the moment at a shop and I am waiting to see what they come up with. Just hoping you might have solved your problem and can shed some light on mine. Thanks!
