1998 plymouth voyager tire size -swap
i have a 1998 Ply Voyager 3.3L and i am planning to put another size of tire in it, the manuall specification says 215 /75/14
my question is? can i put dodge caravan or town country minivan tires in it? caravan uses 15's and town country are 15 & 16's? any reason why they put so small size on the voyagers?

Re: 1998 plymouth voyager tire size -swap
I don't know if the 15" rim has the same size bolt pattern as the 14". If it does my guess is that you'd be OK as long as the tire doesn't rub on the wheel well, which it shouldn't since they also make GVs with 15" rims as well. Mine has them. There's no risk of scraping against the calipers since you're going a size up. Your speedo may read incorrectly, though. If all else fails you can put the original rims back on, right?

Well, I've swapped tires with my T&C and my GC and my GV with no problem, but they were all the same size rims.

Check out post #2 from Imamacanac in this thread:
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...ight=rim+sizes The bolt pattern is different between the 14" and 15" so you won't be able to use 15" rims on anyways. |
