Dauer and B Engineering

Does anyone have any information on what became of the Bugatti plant in Campagliano when it was auctioned off? Have you read any articles detailing what happened to the plant?

Besides the standard information, does anyone have any stories about Bugatti from 1987 until 1997?

At the auction most of the equipment went back to the suppliers, as they were never paid for what they had delivered. All parts were sold to Monaco Racing Team of Monaco, they kept the EB112 parts and 3 or so chassis for the EB112 (plans were to build up a few more, anybody knows if that ever happened?), other parts were sold on to Dauer racing, who used these to build some 5 more EB110's.

There is not much history known after that, some articles on the EB110's, especially their racing feats and a story of how the factory was almost sold, can be read in back-issues of the Bugatti revue:

Actually B Engineering got hold of 21 chassis and designed a new supercar based on the EB110 mechanicals. This they called Edonis and you might have seen pics floating around car supercar sites. People previously with Bugatti and Maserati were involved with that project.

2 more have been built. 1 sold to Klebanov driving it in Geneve, 1 keept from Pastor and the original one is owned 50% from Pastor and 50% from Giuggiaro

8 more by Dauer, 2 more by B.Engineering an another by Visioli

Any Maserati people involved.
Nicola Materazzi, who made the 288 GTO and the F40 has changed the cubics from 3,5L to 3,8 L, he removed all the turbos placing only 2 IHI with variable geometry (first time on a petrol engine) and a titan turbine. Removed the front traction, encreased the wheel base and the front geometry and the ugly car is now a PANTER - unbelievable quick.
