"suicide" door design
My daughter has a 2003 Neon and the front doors' design is perfect for having the top corner whack you in the face. The relative position of the door handle to the top corner is such that when you open either front door, you pull the top corner toward your face. Admittedly, being accustomed to a vertical outer door edge and being of short stature (5' 6"), the swept back top door edge design takes some getting used to.
Anyone else get whacked by the top corner of the door? Last edited by timd; 11-27-2009 at 10:22 AM. Reason: title correction |

![]() That brings back memories!! My dad bought a Cutlass new back in 1970. As a little kid ('71 or '72), I remember watching as he got whacked in the head by the fang while checking under the hood. It really pissed him off, so he belted the fang with the screwdriver he was holding. |
