Time for new exhaust

Time for the 2.5" exhaust to be replaced. I believe its causing the power to drop off in the higher rpms. Also still cant get ride of these damn exhaust leaks at the downpipe. So I have decided to replace everything.
Enjoy.

3" Catback SS
3 90* mandrel bent 3" SS
SS flex section
SS 3" vband
vband adapter for the turbo
td06 exhaust wheel with T3 housing
SS tubular exhaust manifold

Re: Time for new exhaust

Sexiness. Now I really want to work on mine right now.

Looks like you won't have a problem with wastegate that I did.

Re: Time for new exhaust

Everything looks nice, though I still don't trust the manifold. What wastegate is that mani designed for and which one do you have? Mine is a TiAL 38mm and it has the round 2-bolt flange.

Also, I'm no expert on turbos. What was the reasoning of switching exhaust wheels and housings? Better spool? Or better top end flow im guessing?

What brand is the exhaust and manifold? XS Power?

I wasnt aware that they made v-band adapters like that, thats cool. When do you expect to have everything installed?

P.S.,
Dave: your a dick

Re: Time for new exhaust

Manifold is obx and designed for a 40mm wastegate. Thats the 4 bolt flange, I will be using a 38mm so Im going to cut that entire piece off and weld it facing the other way and also changing the flange to a 38mm. The T3 exhaust housing is bigger and will flow much better, also the td06 wheel is much bigger and will flow a lot better in high rpms. The td05 wheel becomes a restriction once boosting 20+ psi. With new injectors I plan on pushing this turbo to about 28psi so the smaller wheel had to go.

Planning on having it installed in the next few weeks. Over thanksgiving holidays at the lastest.

You think yours is bad... should see how much dust mine has on it from being the garage for so long. Can't see out the front window... except for where I tagged it
