99' Frd Expl 4.0l - Pass Upper Ball Joint
I just noticed my pass. upper ball joint boot has deteriorated. I shot some grease in the boot and wrapped it with the universal duck tape until I can get to the parts store in a few days. Just have one slight problem. The one I have is the two piece type. The one piece that holds the bushings is a bracket, the second piece that holds the ball joint, bolts onto that bracket. I can find the ball joint piece but not the bracket. I would like to change both. Apparently ford over the years has changed the unit to a one piece control arm which looks just like the drivers side. My question is, should I just replace the ball joint piece or should I just remove them both and go with the one piece? Looking for some help.
