supercharger on gsx

hey i was wondering if it is possible to put a supercharger on an eclipse gsx. i heard that u can put one on any car but i wasnt sure bcause the car alredy has a turbo. or if i should just get a turbo insted, if so which one do u think would be the best? thanks

Welcome to AF.

Why would you want to put a supercharger on a car that is already turbocharged? They do the exact same thing, force more air into the motor they just operate a little differently. Would you be trying to use both the supercharger and turbo or are you planning on taking the turbo off?

IIRC, Superchargers are better for low end hp and RPMs...like Mustangs where as Turbochargers are better for high end hp and RPMs like our Eclipses.

EDIT:
On top of that, SCs are belt driven which means less hp.

Do they even make superchanger kits for DSM's? I have never seen one advertised anywhere. The 3gs I have. But then again those aren't even DSM's.
