Real wheel alignment - 2000 Intrigue
I had four new tires installed the other day. I let the shop talk me into a 4wheel alignment. However, they said they were unable to perform the alignment in the rear because the rods were bent and would not allow for any adjustment. I assume, but am not sure, they are referring to 'lateral adjustment bars'; at one point, they (incorrectly) referred to them as tierods. Has anyone heard of this issue on an Intrigue? If so, can anyone tell me the specific part they are referring to and whether this is dealer-only or aftermarket also?
Thank you. 2000 Intrigue GLS 3.5L, 68500 miles, original rear suspension components. |

You can get these parts at dealers, rock auto and junk yards, depending on what's bent. It should be relatively easy to get a yard stick or other straight edge and climb under there so see what's bent. Got to compnine.com to get part numbers, or just call your dealer. These cars should have four wheel alignments to ensure maximum tire life. |
