Ambitiously modified evo6: engine 75% done

hey guys! heres my new project, tamiya's evo 6. im doing this one with lots of modifications and scratchbuilding work. already opened the hood, trunk and two front doors. the engine will be fully scratchbuilt and detailed. im also scratchbuilding an audio setup in the trunk. hope i pull this off decently

how are you planning to scratchbuild the engine...will you be making a body kit for it? cant wait to see how it turns out

I ll be following this thread closely, as I really want to see how you takle the scratschbuilding thing!
Good luck, I think you'll need it... not that you're not a godd modeler, au contraire, just that it's such a titanic project you're getting into!

oh, have you used Hase's tritool for opening thingies?

Well, after seing you detail your green R32's engine I still believe a little that you might be able to pull this off.

its quite hard to scratch build a engine...but sometimes people use engines from other kits.....and to make bodykits people use bondo or tamiya putty....along with styrine sheets.

Are there really that many differences between the USDM Eclipse 4G3U and the JDM Evo engine that you couldn't even start with the AMT kit block?
