the vehicle speed sensor is mounted to the tranny go to a auto parts store and ask to see one and that will give you a good idea what to look for

I had to take it to the honda dealer to get my wiring checked. It ended up being my whole gauge cluster was fried. great 190 dolar fix.

Re: spedo acting up

Save you some money and get one out of a junk yard car and go to honda and ask for a federal sticker so you don't get dinged for your milage on your car being wrong if you ever sell it. Hope this helps.

Its most likely your speedo assemble. My buddy had this same problem. He replaced the vss,it still did not work. Then he replaced the speedo assemble and it fixed it. Try that. If you want a good place tp find used and new honda parts at a great price. Go to www.discoveryautoparts.com. They have every thing for hondas and acuras. Motors, trannys,ex. There warr. everything, and there shipping is every fast.

Is there a charge for this sticker? I just bought a new gauge from Honda, I figured why buy a used one from a junk yard from a car that is certainly going to be high mileage and it could just happen again.
So for a few bucks more I bought just the speedo gauge.
